PROF. MANASA RANJAN BEHERA

Prof. Manas received his BTech (Hons) in Civil Engineering from BPUT, Odisha in 2003. He earned his M.S. (2006) and PhD (2010) in Ocean Engineering from IIT Madras. He worked as a Research Fellow in the Tropical Marine Science Institute, NUS, Singapore for two and half years and Institute for Energy Systems, University of Edinburgh, UK for about one year, before joining IIT Bombay in July 2013. He is currently working as an Associate Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering and Inter-Disciplinary Program in Climate Studies.

He was awarded the prestigious “Prof. R J Garde Research Award 2018” by Indian Society for Hydraulics recognizing the contributions in the field of Ocean and Coastal Engineering. He is a recipient of GOLD MEDAL for “Best Civil Engineering Graduate” from VSSUT Odisha.
